Privacy notice
Your details, looked after properly.
Last updated September 2026. This notice explains what we collect when you join the Beside early access list, why we collect it and the rights you have. The short version: we ask for very little, we keep it safe and you can take it back whenever you like.
What we collect
When you sign up we ask for your name, your email address and, if you'd like to share it, your partner's due month. That's all. We don't ask for your partner's name or their exact due date, and we don't track you around the web.
Why we collect it
We use your details to send launch news about the Beside book and app, and to time pregnancy tips to the right stage of your partner's pregnancy if you've shared the due month. Our lawful basis is your consent: you ticked the box, and we recorded when and exactly what you agreed to.
Who sees it
Only the small team running Beside, plus the trusted services we use to store the list and send email. Each of those services handles data under its own data processing agreement. We never sell your details or hand them to advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you're still interested in hearing from us, or until you withdraw consent. When either of those ends, we delete them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also contact us directly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled things, you can complain to the ICO in the UK or your local EU data protection authority. We'd genuinely rather you spoke to us first so we can put it right.
Who's responsible
Beside is a product name of Projexito Limited, and Projexito Limited is the data controller for this list. You can reach us about privacy at any time, simply by replying to any email we send you. Our registered office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, England, WC1N 3AX.
